The drivers on those two downtown loop buses were not engaging and could not compare to Byron (on the uptown loop). We were on two different buses for the downtown loop and I found the out-of-sync factor to be on both. 2) for some reason when we were on the downtown loop, the automated tour was not in sync with the bus' location - this made it hard for us to know what we were look at/for unless it was something obvious. We had a hard time finding it, and found out it was because it was inconvenient. So now to the cons: 1) the visitor's center is far away (by way of several blocks) from the first stop. Byron was both knowledgeable and humorous. He made sure we were comfortable and engaged us all along the tour of the uptown loop. When our bus finally arrived, Byron, the driver/guide was another pleasant surprise. ![]() Traffic was horrible because of the anti-Trump protests so the busses were behind but that was out of Go NY Tours' control. We could not find the visitor's center and the supervisor on duty, Jones, was awesome. We took the tour on Novemstarting at the first stop for the downtown loop. ![]() Afterwards, I checked the reviews and was immediately discouraged.
